Head of Clinical Services – Hemel Hempstead Full-time | Permanent | Competitive Salary Benefits We are working with a leading private healthcare provider to recruit an experienced and dynamic Head of Clinical Services to lead the Theatre, Endoscopy, Ward, and Pre-Operative Assessment teams in Hemel Hempstead. By integrating consultations, testing, imaging, and surgery, they ensure seamless patient pathways and exceptional care 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The Role As Head of Clinical Services, you will: * Take accountability for clinical, professional, and financial outcomes across POA, Ward, Theatre, and Endoscopy services. * Develop and maintain a positive, patient-centred culture that meets CQC, AfPP, and JAG standards while supporting workforce development. * Provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational management for multiple clinical departments. * Ensure quality, evidence-based, and safe care is consistently delivered. * Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to maintain an outstanding patient-focused service. * Oversee and support compliance with CQC and JAG accreditation standards. * Identify opportunities to develop services, maximise operational efficiency, and achieve strategic objectives in line with the Hospital Business Plan. This role is 37.5 hours per week on a 7-day rota, including weekends and bank holidays, with flexibility to meet operational requirements. About You The ideal candidate will have: * Registration with NMC/HCPC and relevant post-registration qualifications. * Senior-level clinical experience in Theatres, Endoscopy, or Ward/POA services. * Proven experience managing clinical teams and developing services. * Knowledge of NMC/HCPC guidelines, Clinical Governance, and JAG standards. * Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills. * Ability to handle sensitive or complex issues professionally and effectively.
