HGV Technician (Split Shifts)
Location: Heathrow
Salary: up to £42,000 basic per annumDOE plus shift allowance, bonus and overtime OTE up to £60,000
Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday (Split Shift)

We are looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join our clients workshop in Heathrow, specialising in fleet vehicles, including Transits, Sprinters, and a variety of other LCVs and HGVs. This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse range of vehicles, offering both challenging and rewarding experiences in a dynamic environment.
This role operates on a split shift rotation, alternating weekly between:
06:00 14:30 (30-minute unpaid lunch)
14:00 22:30
The role is fully workshop-based, and you are not expected to do any call outs. Call-out work is available for those who want it, but there is already full cover in place, meaning there is no obligation and the role offers excellent earning potential through:
Monthly bonus available
Overtime paid at 1.5x
Additional weekend hours paid at 1.5x

HGV Technician Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections
Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
Carry out repairs including clutches, brakes, suspension, wheel alignments and more
Maintain efficient workflow while ensuring high-quality repair standards
Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
Maintain a clean and organised work area
Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques
HGV Technician Requirements
NVQ Level 3 equivalent or higher
At least 1 year of experience as a vehicle technician
Experience working with HGVs preferred (MAN experience desirable and paid at a higher rate)
Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Valid drivers licence
