Topographical Surveyor – County Durham

Are you an experienced Topographical Surveyor looking for your next challenge? We’re working with a well-established land surveying company in County Durham that has a growing pipeline of exciting projects and is looking to appoint a hands-on Topographical Surveyor.
This role offers a perfect balance of field surveying and CAD production, working primarily on residential developments, commercial sites, and infrastructure projects across Durham and the North East. No long-distance travel – most projects are local.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out detailed topographical surveys and land surveys
*
Using total stations, GPS, and (where applicable) laser scanning equipment
*
Processing survey data and producing accurate AutoCAD drawings
*
Delivering site plans, levels, contours, and utility information
*
Liaising directly with architects, engineers, developers, and private clients
*
Ensuring high-quality, accurate outputs
What We’re Looking For:
*
Minimum 2 years’ experience in topographical or land surveying
*
Confident operating total station and GPS equipment
*
Strong AutoCAD skills
*
Experience working independently on site
*
Full UK driving licence
*
Excellent attention to detail and professional client manner
Desirable:
*
Experience with point cloud / laser scan data
*
Surveying qualification (or working towards one)
*
Knowledge of utility or Land Registry–compliant plans
