Job Description

We are looking for an experienced P&C professional who can build strong relationships, maintain a visible on-site presence, and work collaboratively with Centres of Excellence to embed people solutions.

The role supports a culture of unity, responsibility and quality, while helping managers confidently navigate a wide range of People & Culture processes and challenges.

Additional Information:

1. Travel is required, with visits to client sites 2–3 days per week
2. A full driving licence is required due to the travel requirements of the role

Key Responsibilities

3. Advise, coach and support management teams on all People & Culture matters
4. Lead employee relations case management, including grievances, disciplinaries, investigations and hearings
5. Support organisational restructures, service remodelling and TUPE activity in collaboration with relevant CoEs
6. Engage and liaise with trade unions where required, working alongside the ER Centre of Excellence
7. Provide policy and procedure guidance to managers to ensure compliance and minimise organisational risk
8. Implement and embed centrally led People & Culture initiatives and annual cycle activities
9. Collaborate with Centres of Excellence to deliver people solutions through structured project and change management
10. Maintain a visible and regular on-site presence across client locations

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

11. Proven experience managing a broad portfolio of People & Culture activities, including employee relations, change management and policy development
12. Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and its practical application
13. Experience supporting organisational change, including restructures and TUPE transfers, with effective union engagement
14. Skilled in handling complex ER issues and facilitating constructive, outcome-focused conversations
15. Experience designing, implementing and embedding People & Culture initiatives aligned to business strategy
16. Confident providing clear, pragmatic and commercially balanced advice to managers and employees
17. Strong coaching capability, supporting performance improvement and professional development
18. Demonstrable ability to build trusted, productive relationships across all levels of the organisation
19. Clear and confident communicator, able to manage sensitive and complex situations with credibility
20. Degree-educated, CIPD qualified, or qualified by experience
