Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Dietician to join our team. This is a key leadership role within Cromwell Hospital to lead the delivery and development of our first class, Dietetic Services. You will lead a friendly, dynamic, and forward-thinking department who provide excellent patient centred care, using the latest evidence-based practice in both inpatients and outpatients; to lead in the provision and specialist clinical management of dietetic services, supporting the team, to deliver safe care, excellent patient experience and meet revenue targets.
Our current service consists of:
1. Inpatient wards; ICU, Oncology, Surgery and Orthopaedics, Cardiology/Medicine, and Paediatrics
2. Outpatient; Executive screens, Gastroenterology including low FODMAP diets, Nutrition Support, Diabetes, Cardiology, Renal, Bariatric, Gynae, Liver and Paediatrics.
There is scope to further extend and grow the dietetic service. Cromwell Hospital is a supportive and friendly environment to grow and develop.
What you'll do:
3. Develop and implement policies and protocols within the hospital.
4. Develop, enhance, and grow services, seek new opportunities, and deliver first class dietetic services to patients, customer, and key stakeholders.
5. To provide clinical support / cover as necessary, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to contribute to enhanced dietetic specialist services.
6. Lead robust governance, audit, and risk management for the service.
7. Identify and implement service improvements and market the department to promote service and new referrals.
8. Excellent people management experience
What you’ll bring:
9. Master’s or equivalent experience in Dietetics
10. Member of HCPC
11. Clinical dietetic background within a broad range of specialities both in clinics and ward based.
12. Experience in managing and leading teams
13. Paediatrics Experience (desirable)
14. Experience of managing a budget (desirable)
15. British Association of Dietetics Management/Leadership programme or equivalent training (desirable)
