As Head Chef you will take control, accountability, and ownership for the management of the Conference and Banqueting department. Key Responsibilities and Duties (assisting the Executive Head Chef): Deputise for the Executive Head Chef in their absence. Supervise the preparation of banqueting menus and special functions. Carry out menu costings and tasting sessions. Cook dishes to the highest standard, even on special requests. Instruct, brief, and supervise your kitchen brigade Oversee and ensure all food is prepared to specifications in presentation and recipe. Maintain restaurant and Health Department sanitation requirements. Establish and maintain effective employee relations and departmental SOPs. Participate in recruitment, hiring, orientation, appraisals, coaching, and training. Establish the kitchen budget in collaboration with the General Manager.What we're looking for: Minimum 3 years' experience as a Head Chef in a similar establishment.
