The Role
The Regulated Reporting Team, part of Commercial Operations, works closely with cross-commodity lines of business, Regulatory Compliance, Global Contracts, Legal, and IT to ensure compliance with OTC Commodities Regulatory Reporting obligations. The environment is energetic and fast-paced, encouraging active participation in achieving compliance. Flexibility, adaptability, open-mindedness, goal-orientation, and control framework awareness are key.
You will be responsible for the timely, complete, and accurate reporting of OTC trades under EMIR, REMIT, MAS, and ASIC, covering Power, Gas, Environmental products, FX, and Oil products.
Responsibilities
1. Monitor Reporting Activities: Ensure compliance with EMIR, REMIT, MAS, and ASIC reporting requirements, investigating discrepancies.
2. Issue Remediation and Regulatory Reporting Flows: Identify, investigate, and resolve trade reporting issues related to data quality and accuracy, managing exceptions to meet deadlines.
3. Conduct quality assurance reviews of regulatory submissions.
4. Manage Regulatory and Compliance: Review regulatory texts, guidance, and industry best practices; collaborate with compliance teams to interpret and implement regulatory changes.
5. Support New Business: Work with Front Office to implement new products and define reporting requirements.
6. Impact Assessment and Testing: Analyze industry changes, assist in testing, and embed changes within an agile development lifecycle.
7. Develop and maintain reporting procedures for accuracy and timeliness.
8. Develop KPIs to monitor risks and support remediation activities.
9. Promote continuous improvement within the team.
10. Build stakeholder relationships across various departments.
11. Serve as a central contact for reporting queries, providing guidance on regulatory requirements.
12. Collaborate to gather, validate, and ensure data accuracy.
13. Perform reconciliations to ensure accurate trade reporting.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
* Experience with EMIR, REMIT, MAS, and ASIC reporting, and understanding of energy trading regulations.
* Knowledge of trade lifecycle processes, physical and financial commodities.
* Experience with UAT and regulatory change projects in commodities or financial services.
* Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi, Visio.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Experience with SaaS solutions, Trade Repositories, and Registered Reporting Mechanisms.
* Understanding of Oil, Gas, Metals, Power, and Environmental Products.
* Financial markets experience is preferred.
* Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
