Main duties of the job
You will need:
* The ability to design and deliver transformative and innovative learning experiences.
* Knowledge and understanding of critical, practical, and theoretical issues relevant to Community Nursing Specialist Practice and Adult nursing and the health and social care agenda.
* Experience of teaching, training or supervising undergraduate and postgraduate nurses in a practice or academic environment.
* Current NMC registration as an Adult Nurse, Community Nursing Specialist Practice (SPQ District Nurse) and non-medical prescriber.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
About us
You will join a team of academic practitioners, innovating, leading, teaching and supporting registrants accessing our SPQ District Nursing and non-medical prescribing programmes. You will also support students nurses across the undergraduate and postgraduate Adult nursing curricula, alongside opportunities to be involved in research and project work. You will be involved with supporting students, linking with our practice partners, and engaging with the research agenda. There will the opportunity for line management.
Job responsibilities
Toteach and support students by taking a learner-centred approach in line withthe Universitys learning, teaching and assessment strategy.
Tocontribute to curriculum development and delivery, research and other formsof scholarly activity as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Experience
* Well-developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to adult and district nursing and the health & social care agenda.
* Teaching, training or supervising undergraduate and postgraduate nursing or other healthcare professionals in a clinical practice or academic environment.
* Knowledge of how information technology can support educational delivery and learning.
* Professional experience in a relevant discipline, with experience of working in an integrated way and caring for patients across the healthcare environment.
* Ability to inspire, enthuse and connect with a range of stakeholders e.g. students and external clients from a wide range of backgrounds.
* Ability to design and deliver transformative and innovative learning experiences.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications
* Good honours degree (i.e. UK 2.1 or 1st Class), or equivalent professional qualification (as confirmed by ECCTIS if overseas qualification) in a relevant discipline
* Masters or other postgraduate qualification or equivalent or commitment to achieve a Masters degree, and/or substantial professional experience in a relevant discipline
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Current relevant NMC Registration in Adult nursing including Community Nursing Specialist Practice (SPQ District Nursing)
* Postgraduate teaching qualification (PG Cert or HEA fellowship) or equivalent or a commitment to complete
* Doctorate in a relevant discipline (or equivalent qualification, as confirmed by ECCTIS).
