My Client are seeing an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant with a strong background in financial reporting and hands-on experience using Sage accounting software. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate financial data, analysing business performance, and supporting strategic decision-making. They are a fairly small business, so they are looking for someone who isn't afraid to role up their sleeves and get stuck in!
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts using Sage (e.g., Sage 50, Sage 200, or Sage Intacct).
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Monitor and report on key financial metrics and business performance indicators.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decisions.
Assist with year-end procedures and liaise with external auditors.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with statutory requirements.
Support other finance team members with ad hoc financial projects and reporting tasks.
Continuously improve financial processes and internal controls.

Professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA part or fully qualified, or equivalent)
Proven experience in a management accounting role.
Strong proficiency with Sage accounting software (Sage 50, 200, or Intacct - please specify).
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Effective communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
