An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Architect to join our Experimental Systems team within Experimental Engineering in the central Engineering & Technology division in Derby.
The Experimental Engineering department is responsible for acquiring new capabilities and modifications of test facilities worldwide to support rig, engine development, and new engine production programs.

What you will be doing:
* Designing systems that meet business needs and expectations within budget constraints, considering both business and technical perspectives.
* Responsible for defining and implementing strategic goals for managing and maintaining systems and software in test facilities.
* Collaborating with key suppliers to ensure IT & OT systems are fit for purpose and compliant with RR Group IT policies.
* Creating, executing, and maintaining verification plans, providing evidence and reports.
* Coordinating system implementations and modifications, including process changes, documentation, and training.
* Working with Test Execution, Test Facility, and Measurement Engineers to configure and maintain testing arrangements.
Who we’re looking for:
* Degree qualified in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Ability to write clear, concise requirements and specifications.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as JAVA, C++, Python, or SQL.
* Understanding of Cyber Security standards.
* Awareness of current tools and processes in system management.
* Ability to gather functional and non-functional requirements of systems and processes.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills; self-motivated; capable of working under pressure and managing resources.
* Experience with DevOps and Agile practices is desirable but not essential.
