Holding a Level 3 or higher qualification in childcare is a must.You will be a collaborative team member, equally capable of taking initiative, and adept at planning enriching activities. As a dedicated key person, you will also have the rewarding responsibility of monitoring and supporting your own group of children.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Nursery Manager include:
* Provide professional leadership and management of the nursery and its team.
* Be responsible for maintaining clear and accurate records, including writing clear objective observations.
* Utilize excellent planning, organisation, IT, and presentation skills.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to motivate, manage, and work productively with the team.
* Identify training needs and develop effective training plans for the team.
* Comfortably manage the recruitment, induction, support, training, and appraisal processes for team members.
* Effectively work with parents and outside agencies, manage running costs, facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies, and implement recommendations.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Must have held a Nursery Management or similar senior position before
* Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
* Designated Safeguarding Lead
* Safer Recruitment training
* Paediatric First Aid
* Food and Hygiene Level 2
* Ability to write reports and keep clear and accurate records
* Ability to write clear objective observations
* Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
* Excellent knowledge of the current Early Years Inspection Framework and Welfare Requirements
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
