About the Role
* Job Title – Solution Architect
* Location – Edinburgh, UK
* Mode of Work – Hybrid 3 Days onsite a week

Role Purpose
As the Solution Architect you will drive the technical vision and end to end architecture for the migration of the Sphere global product platform from Angular to React leveraging NET and Azure cloud services. You will work closely with teams to deliver a unified scalable and future ready solution that meets global business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science engineering or related field
* 12 years in software development architecture with 4 years in Azure cloud solutions
* Experience in global product rollouts and multiregional deployments
* Azure Architect or related certifications are a plus
* Project Specific Expectations
* Ability to work in a multivendor multiregional environment US CA UK EMEA Oceania
* Experience with AI driven SDLC acceleration GitHub Copilot agentic workflows
* Familiarity with Figma to React conversion GDS component integration and responsive UI design
* Willingness to support rapid team ramp up and knowledge transition
Required Skills Experience
* Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise solutions with ReactJS, React Native, NET Core and Azure
* Deep understanding of cloud native architectures, microservices, API management and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Hands‑on expertise with Azure services App Service, Functions, AKS, API Management, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Logic Apps, Azure DevOps
* Experience integrating with authentication libraries eg Ping, regional APIs and GDS components
* Strong background in CICD, automated testing and code quality tools SonarQube, Veracode
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management and mentoring skills
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design of modular extensible frontend and backend architectures using React Native, Web, NET Core and Azure
* Define integration patterns for Voyager APIs, SCRIP regional instances and GDS components
* Ensure adherence to branding, security and compliance standards across regions
* Create technical blueprints for feature rollout, API integration and cloud deployment
* Guide PODs and cross‑functional teams in implementing React based UI and NET APIs
* Oversee migration of legacy Angular components to React ensuring code reusability and maintainability
* Establish CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps, automate testing and enforce coding standards
* Optimize application performance for desktop and mobile channels
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
* Partner with UX, DevOps, API and business teams to align technical solutions with project goals
* Mentor developers, conduct code design reviews and facilitate knowledge transfer
* Present architectural decisions and progress to delivery leadership and client stakeholders
Quality, Security & Governance
* Ensure solutions meet global scalability, reliability and security requirements
* Implement monitoring and observability using Azure Application Insights and related tools
* Support UAT, production deployments and hyper‑care activities
