Deputy Credit Manager
Full-Time | Permanent | Newry
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Credit Manager to join a growing European logistics and services business supporting over 6,000 customers across the EU.
Reporting to the Group Credit Manager, you will support the day to day management of the credit control function, ensuring compliance with credit limits and payment terms while driving improvements in debtor performance and reducing bad debt exposure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support management of the credit control function
2. Ensure customer compliance with credit limits and payment terms
3. Monitor debtor ageing and drive monthly collections performance
4. Recommend legal escalation and arrange structured payment plans
5. Implement and improve credit control procedures and systems
6. Report on debtor ledger performance
7. Support European offices with credit control processes
8. Build strong customer relationships to resolve payment issues efficiently
About You
9. 3 to 5 years' experience in credit control or finance
10. Strong credit risk assessment and financial analysis skills
11. Confident communicator with excellent negotiation ability
12. Experience managing overdue accounts and debt recovery processes
13. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
14. Proficient in Excel and accounting/ERP systems ( Dynamics, Sage)
15. Supervisory experience desirable
Desirable: Experience within freight, transport, or international markets.
