Role Overview
Direct and inspire a team responsible for inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal. Establish safety arrangements, ensure compliance, manage plant and equipment, and compile vital reports.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct, organise and motivate a high‑performing team.
• Ensure efficient, high‑standard work across all phases.
• Establish and enforce safety arrangements, ensuring staff and contractors follow safe systems.
• Proactively control quality and competence of work.
• Ensure all assets, vehicles, plant, tools, equipment and materials are fit for purpose.
Essential Criteria
* Experience organising and controlling safe and efficient work delivery.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Knowledge of discipline‑specific maintenance, inspection, faulting and renewal techniques.
* Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures and instructions.
* Clear, inspirational leadership with strong direction.
* Hold Safety Critical Competencies: COSS, CRP and PC.
* Hold Tr04 and Tr11 Competence.
Desirable Criteria
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
* Willingness to drive vehicles up to 7.5t, including licence upgrade if required.
* Hold Safety Critical Competencies: Strapping, NSCD (Ops) and Engineering Supervisor.

This is a safety‑critical role and requires drug and alcohol testing and a relevant medical assessment.
