Description About the Role: Ready to start your Joules Journey? Step into the role of Buying & Sourcing Director here at Joules Head Office! You'll be a vital part of the senior leadership team and sit on the Joules Operating Board. This is a crucial role where you will directly oversee and guide the Buying and Technology teams, with a core focus on developing and executing profitable and commercially successful ranges to maximise sales. Core responsibilities will include: Team Leadership: Inspire and motivate your teams, fostering their development and empowering them to achieve their best. Commercial Strategy: Develop and deliver profitable ranges by staying ahead of key market trends, including styles, fabrics, and colours. This is across both the online, store and wholesale channels. Problem-Solving: React quickly to stock and supplier issues, making confident commercial decisions to resolve escalations. Innovation: Drive continuous improvement through the introduction of new technology and procedures. Collaboration: Work seamlessly with a wide range of internal teams across the business and group, including Merchandising, Design, Stores, Code of Practice, and Sustainability. Travel: This is a hands-on role that requires regular UK and international travel to visit factories, suppliers, stores, and warehouses. About You: You are a passionate and commercially-minded professional with a flair for product and extensive knowledge of the market, alongside significant sourcing expertise. You will have demonstrable experience at a Head of Buying level or more senior within a fast-paced Head Office environment, and a proven track record of managing and mentoring teams. You will be highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative and making intelligent, commercial decisions. Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills are essential. You are a resilient, analytical, and highly numerate individual who can influence others and take action when needed. Required Skills & Experience Significant head of buying and sourcing experience in a retail head office. A clear understanding on how a technical team operates in a head office environment. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team. Strong commercial acumen and a responsive, enterprising approach to work. Excellent communication and influential negotiation skills. Hands-on knowledge of product and commercial supply/manufacture processes. Ability to identify and mitigate problems early to prevent delivery and trading delays. Where will you be working? This is a full time role based at ‘The Barn’ - Joules’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. This role is office based working onsite, as we believe this is where we make the best decisions together.
