The Opportunity
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a committed and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a vibrant primary school in the NP11 area from September 2026.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about helping young learners reach their full potential in a nurturing classroom environment.
Your Role in School
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in day-to-day classroom support. Duties may include:
Assisting pupils during lessons to ensure understanding and engagement
Delivering intervention sessions and supporting literacy/numeracy development
Providing additional support to pupils with ALN or SEMH needs
Supporting behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
Preparing classroom resources and assisting with lesson setup
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will:
Have prior experience working with children or young people
Be enthusiastic, approachable, and able to build rapport quickly
Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
Be adaptable and confident supporting children with varying needs
Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
Relevant TA qualifications are welcomed but not essential
