Engineering Manager - KierBam JV at Hinkley Point C
Location: Site based, Bridgwater, Somerset
Hours: Permanent, Full Time
Responsibilities
As an Engineering Manager, you'll support one of the UK's largest construction projects. You will report to the Project Director and oversee Engineering Management in Pre-construction and Project support. Your daily tasks will include:
* Tenders and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) - temporary works design and advice.
* Technical leadership - client liaison, ECI, tender options, design meetings, site team support, CDM and HSQE compliance, junior engineer training.
* Knowledge requirements - design delivery, project management, company procedures, legislation, BIM, commercial risk, contract forms.
* Quality Management - ensure works meet quality standards, prevent rework, and evidence compliance.
* People Management - build relationships, conduct site audits, inspect compliance, provide coaching and training.
Candidate Profile
This role suits candidates with:
* Practical knowledge of Engineering Management Systems.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including training and presentations.
* Strong organizational and analytical skills.
* Familiarity with Business Intelligence reporting, passion for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
