The Ophthalmology department requires an experienced clerical officer to work with the cataract unit team. You will be dealing with members of the public, patients, and staff within the ophthalmology department of NHS Fife.
We are looking for an individual to join our clerical team in Ophthalmology to cover a maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high standards of care to patients using our service. You will support the ophthalmic team in delivering services to patients within the Fife area. There is potential to rotate across the Ophthalmology department, including outpatient areas, pre/post-operative in the cataract unit, and Ophthalmology theatres. Travel between sites will be necessary, as the department operates across four hospital sites.
We seek individuals with excellent communication skills, knowledge of TrakCare, healthcare portal, Sci-Store, Sci-Gateway, and SSTS, who can work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
You will report to the Senior Charge Nurse, Ophthalmology. The role requires excellent telephone communication skills to handle calls from general practitioners, opticians, patients, and other healthcare organizations.
