Electrical Training Officer - Oxford Home-based with travel around the Oxfordshire region £36,500 - £38,300 (depending on experience) Are you a qualified electrician looking to step away from the tools and into a role where you can shape the future of the trade? We're recruiting for an Electrical Training Officer on behalf of a well-established training provider. This role is ideal for someone with solid hands-on experience who wants to support and guide the next generation of electricians - no prior training experience is required, full support and development will be provided. What does the role involve? Supporting apprentices through their training journeys, providing on-site reviews and guidance. Coaching and mentoring learners in line with national occupational standards. Giving feedback, setting achievable learning targets, and preparing apprentices for final assessments. Liaising with employers, reviewing workplace progress, and ensuring apprentices are on the right pathway. Monitoring learner progress and stepping in early to help anyone at risk of falling behind. Managing your own caseload across the region and building strong relationships with learners and employers. Region: You'll be based from home and will visit apprentices and employers throughout Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. What you need: A Level 3 Electrical qualification (NVQ or equivalent) Hands-on experience working as an electrician 18th Edition (or willingness to complete) A full UK driving licence Nice to have (but not essential): Assessor or teaching qualifications (e.g. TAQA, A1, D32/33) Inspection & Testing (2391) Health & Safety (IOSH Managing Safely) If you're passionate about the trade and like the idea of giving back - supporting apprentices with real-world experience and practical guidance - this is a great opportunity to make the switch into a training role, with full support along the way
