Teaching Assistant – SEN Hub (Primary School, Hartlepool)
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Hartlepool, supporting pupils within a SEN hub. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children with additional needs and has a particular interest in dance and creative movement.
Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is desirable; however, the most important qualities are patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping every child reach their full potential. An interest in dance is highly valued, as incorporating movement and creativity can play an important role in supporting engagement, expression, and development within the SEN setting.
We offer free CPD training to successful candidates, helping you build your knowledge and confidence in supporting children with additional needs. This includes training around SEN support strategies, behaviour management, and inclusive learning approaches.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in using creative and physical activities, such as dance, to enhance learning and wellbeing for pupils.
Typical school hours are around 8:30am – 3:30pm. We aim to be flexible where possible and will try to accommodate individual needs.
If you are passionate about supporting children with SEN and interested in using creativity and movement as part of your practice, we would love to hear from you.
