We are working with a well-established company based in West Bromwich, who are now looking to appoint an experienced and forward-thinking IT Manager to lead their internal IT function. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who is confident managing a full IT operation end-to-end, while still remaining hands-on when needed. You’ll be responsible for overseeing infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and IT strategy, ensuring the business is fully supported both now and as it continues to grow. Overview As the IT Manager, you will take full ownership of the company’s IT operations. You'll manage a small internal team, coordinate with third-party suppliers, and work closely with senior management to ensure IT aligns with wider business goals. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in server management, networks, information security, and leading IT functions within an operational environment. Key Responsibilities * Lead the day-to-day management and long-term development of the IT function * Oversee all IT infrastructure, networks, hardware, software, and cloud services * Manage and support business-critical systems (WMS, TMS, ERP, etc.) * Develop and deliver the company’s IT strategy and roadmap * Lead IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts * Ensure strong cybersecurity, data protection, and disaster recovery processes * Provide hands-on technical support and act as an escalation point * Manage IT budgets, licensing, and vendor relationships * Work with operational teams to identify opportunities for improvement through technology Skills & Experience Required * Strong background in server management, networking, and IT infrastructure * Solid understanding of information security principles * Experience delivering disaster recovery planning * Analytical with the ability to assess and resolve complex issues * Proven leadership skills with experience managing or supervising an IT team * Strong project management capability * Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the business * Well-organised and able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint Desirable Qualifications * Degree in IT, Computer Science or similar * Professional certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or ITIL If you are passionate about driving IT performance, confident leading an IT function, and looking for a long-term role within a growing business, we’d love to hear from you
