A unique opportunity for a commercially sharp Senior Quantity Surveyor to take full control of a high-value package on one of London’s flagship projects - Old Oak Common HS2 Station. This role offers the perfect balance: complex commercial management, senior leadership visibility, and the chance to directly influence project profitability.
You’ll lead the commercial management of a key package, currently valued at £25-26 million, with responsibility for subcontract procurement, full reporting, forecasting, and £30-50 million of live change control variations.
This is a senior commercial role where your performance will directly shape financial outcomes. It’s ideal for a driven QS who wants ownership, not layers of red tape.
The Role: • Commercial lead on the £25m+ WP15 package, plus additional scope as projects evolve • Manage subcontract procurement, package pricing, CVRs, forecasting and reporting • Take ownership of £30-50m of live variations and change control negotiations • Work directly with senior leadership and client teams on all commercial matters • Influence project performance, risk management, and margin delivery
What We’re Looking For: • Commercial infrastructure, civils or structural steel experience • Structural steel or cladding background strongly preferred • NEC contract experience (helpful but not essential) • Tier 2 or Tier 3 contracting experience ideal (Kier, Careys, Coffey’s or similar) • Proven ability to manage major variations and subcontract packages • Commercially driven, financially sharp, and able to operate independently
