Distinction, a digital consultancy, is looking for a Sales Development Representative to join the team.


Distinction works with marketing and technology leaders to deliver digital transformation that sticks. From strategy to execution, we bring clarity where complexity rules — helping you move faster, smarter and with confidence.


This role specifically focuses on outbound lead generation, prospecting, and qualifying opportunities. You will be responsible for creating and building a sales pipeline, managing sales cycles, and delivering a realistic sales target.


You will also collaborate with internal subject matter experts to plan and deliver lead-generating sales and marketing campaigns.


Day-to-day, you’ll be:

* Building a sales pipeline of ideal fit clients
* Executing outbound lead generation campaigns using social, email and phone
* Working with our marketing team to build lead generation campaigns
* Nurturing sales referral partnerships
* Helping inform a refined outbound sales strategy
* Working with the internal team to improve our sales processes
* Co-creating proposals and pitch packs
* Presenting ideas to clients
* Maintaining our CRM
* Attending client meetings as required
* A brand ambassador for Distinction by regularly writing your own articles in line with our positioning, and sharing Distinction content to your own network
* You are not responsible for closing deals


You must have:

* Successful sales experience in a business like ours with a tried and tested cold outbound approach
* Superb communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience of prospecting and nurturing long sales cycles
* Ability to balance a varied workload and prioritise key activities
* Excellent planning, presentation and negotiation skills
* Proficiency in the full MS Office suite and CRM systems


Your application will stand out if you can demonstrate:

* Strong commercial acumen
* Successful experience selling in a variety of B2B services environment
* A well-established network to bring to the role


Salary:

The base salary is £40,000 plus commission (OTE £60,000).
