Labcorp is seeking a Scientist to join our Cardiovascular Safety Pharmacology department at our site in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
Job Responsibilities:
1. Data collection and analysis and helping with study support
2. Demonstrating a basic understanding of ECG, blood pressure, respiratory waveforms
3. Checking the accuracy of the data collected and ensuring this is put into specified formats
4. Assisting with preparation of laboratory equipment for the team
5. Recording and analysing electronic data
6. Recognizing or learning to recognize typical ECG complexes, basic ECG rhythms, and typical abnormal rhythms
7. Monitoring critical phases of studies and reporting problems to the study management team
8. Adhering to strict timelines for on time delivery of data for the team
9. Following and understanding all department specific SOPs, processes and best practices relevant to role
10. Reviewing and providing input on protocols, amendments and reports for all relevant study types
11. Assisting in the inter-department scheduling of studies as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
12. A Level Biology, Chemistry or Physics
Preferred Qualifications:
13. BSc in Biology, Pharmacology, Physiology
Additional Job Standards:
14. Experience in a scientific discipline desirable, preferably working to GLP
15. Knowledge of cardiovascular data acquisition and analysis advantageous
16. Strong team player
17. Ability to quickly learn new tasks and methodologies
18. Proficient with computers and software programs, specifically ability to learn ones utilized for departmental data collection and analysis

You will also be required to set up and maintain equipment.
