Role: Pump Technician Location: Field Based Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience. Our client is looking for an experienced Pump Technician to join a growing team within the water industry. This is a hands-on role involving the maintenance, repair, and installation of pumping equipment across clean and/or wastewater sites. You will play a key part in ensuring the reliable operation of critical water infrastructure, supporting both planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns. Responsibilities include: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on pumps, motors, and associated equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on pumping systems Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts as required Install, commission, and test new pump systems and equipment Work on-site at water treatment works, pumping stations, and related facilities Complete accurate maintenance records and service reports Ensure all work is carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental standards Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and site operators to ensure efficient operations Skills & Experience: Previous experience as a Pump Technician or in a similar mechanical/electrical maintenance role Strong understanding of pumps, valves, motors, and rotating equipment Basic electrical knowledge (fault finding, wiring, testing preferred) Experience within the water industry or similar utilities sect...
