Pensions Project Administrator

Imperial Brands are currently looking for a motivated and conscientious individual to support its UK pensions team. Working in close collaboration with the existing pension projects team and Pension Fund Office (PFO) management team the individual will assist with various ad-hoc and cyclical projects within the Pension Fund Office in order to assist with the efficient management of the Imperial Tobacco Pension Fund (the Fund).
Key accountabilities
* Managing and assisting with special / ad-hoc pension project work including planned pension risk reduction projects
* Assist with the development of a new website for the Pension Fund
* Devise project plan and assess site requirements liaising with team members for input
* Dealing with various workstreams arising out of an address tracing exercise for deferred members
* Assisting the Pensions Technician and Projects Coordinator as necessary with work on the Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) reconciliation project and the equalisation of GMP benefits
* Assisting as necessary with a planned bulk trivial commutation exercise for pensioner and deferred members
* Ensure the Fund and the PFO remains compliant with data protection regulations maintaining data processing records and carry out data protection impact assessments as required
* Draft member communications as necessary
* Identify and take forward, in conjunction with the PFO management team, ad-hoc projects to improve the efficiency of the department and to comply with changes to legislation or regulatory guidance issued by the Pensions Regulator
* Assisting the Pensions Manager and Deputy Pensions Manager with the development of Fund literature, internal procedures and standard letter templates to ensure they remain up to date with regard to any changes to the Rules, legislation and regulatory practices
* Assist the pensions team as necessary with the day to day administration of the Pension Fund including pension calculations and quotations
Skills & experience
* Experienced pension administration professional
* Good knowledge of current pensions legislation and regulations
* Experience of pension project work
* Experience of full range of DB member benefit scenarios and DC administration issues
* Strong analytical and data analysis skills
* Must enjoy working as part of a team but equally happy to work autonomously using own initiative Proactive outlook
* Must be focused on delivery meeting agreed targets
