Rutherford Cross is partnering with a large, well-established Glasgow based organisation to appoint an Interim Financial Reporting Manager (15-18-month FTC). Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for: Financial Reporting & Compliance: • Prepare annual consolidated financial statements in line with UK and US GAAP • Oversee statutory accounts for all entities, ensuring timely and compliant submissions • Maintain compliance with internal policies and evolving accounting standards • Monitor changes in standards and implement as required • Deliver insightful financial reporting to support strategic decisions Audit & External Stakeholder Management: • Manage year-end audit process and act as main contact for auditors • Coordinate audit documentation and resolve queries promptly • Prepare and present reports for governance committees and boards Technical Accounting & Advisory: • Lead accounting treatment for complex transactions (M&A, restructuring, financing) • Provide guidance on new standards and manage implementation • Prepare technical accounting papers for internal and external review Governance, Risk & Controls: • Ensure strong financial controls and governance over reporting processes • Drive improvements in risk management for financial reporting • Review and challenge key controls like balance sheet reconciliations Transformation & Systems Leadership: • Innovate reporting processes using technology for efficiency and accuracy • Lead system initiatives, including treasury function implementation in new finance system Team Leadership & Development: • Lead and develop the financial reporting team through coaching and feedback • Foster technical excellence and continuous learning • Support succession planning and cross-functional collaboration Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills: • CA / ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified • A strong track record of leadership and delivery at a senior financial level operating in a highly complex environment • Extensive experience of leading and managing teams • Substantial experience of managing relationships with auditors On Offer: • Salary: DOE • Excellent pension holiday allowance • Hybrid working • Offices based in Glasgow City Centre For more information on this vacancy, please contact Christina McLean at Rutherford Cross Interviews for this role will commence in January Our client is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status or pregnancy and maternity.
