An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated administrator to join our friendly team at Velindre Cancer Centre on a full-time basis.
They will work with a focus on providing high-level administrative support for the department.The post holder will carry out senior administration duties such as, answering telephone messages, resolving pay card queries, recruitment adverts, ordering of multiple supplies, arranging meetings and supporting projects within the department. They will provide cover arrangements to other administrators within the Integrated Care Directorate as required
Main duties of the job
We are therefore, seeking a skilled, reliable and highly organised individual with excellent communication and organisation skills. The post holder requires experience of Microsoft Office packages - Word, Excel and PowerPoint; excellent organisational abilities and the capability to work in a confidential manner are of paramount importance in this role. The ability to communicate effectively as part of a team; to work well under pressure and to prioritise the demands in a busy environment are also essential.
The post holder will need to be flexible as the role will involve providing admin support to a number of staff and working across departments.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
