Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator Welder to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with mild steel. You will work on various projects, including fabricating and welding sheets, beams, and rods. The role demands versatility, precision, and a commitment to high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabricate and weld mild steel components for construction projects.
* Work with materials such as sheets, beams, and rods to produce high-quality finished products.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints for accurate fabrication.
* Utilize welding techniques like MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join and fabricate metal parts.
* Prepare and cut materials to specified dimensions.
* Assemble and install fabricated components on-site as required.
* Ensure all work complies with quality standards and health and safety regulations.
* Maintain welding equipment in good working order.
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and specifications.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment following health and safety protocols.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Fabricator Welder, preferably in construction.
* Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding, with expertise in mild steel fabrication.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
* Strong knowledge of welding safety procedures and best practices.
* Attention to detail and precision in welding and fabrication tasks.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Effective communication skills for working with project managers and tradespeople.
* Experience in fabricating beams, rods, and sheets is highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
* Primarily based in a workshop in Nottingham, with some work on-site when needed.
* Work involves both workshop and on-site fabrication activities.
* Use of various tools and welding equipment required.
* Full safety gear provided; adherence to health and safety protocols essential.
