Job Summary
The main purpose of the role is to assist the VP HR in providing an effective HR function to the business which aligns with the objectives of the business.
Respons. & areas
· Deliver a proactive HR service to both managers and employees in line with Company standards and processes.
· Focal point for all employees within one of the UK AOC bases.
· Occasional base visit if required.
· Participate and Lead when required with HR project related work.
· Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and beneficial to have knowledge of Danish and Dutch employment legislation.
· Ensure all HR activities are carried out in line with local and group standards.
· Working with Line Manager of base to support the resource plan and coordinate the full recruitment cycle, cycle (preparation/advertising, sourcing, selection process, the interview, reference checks, arranging medical assessment and completing the onboarding/hire paperwork / induction).
· Maintain relevant HR databases and support the maintenance of accurate HR records.
· Carryout onboarding / HR Induction for base and assist with other bases/departments when required.
· Manage the absence management process for the base and assist the Managers on an Employee case by case basis.
· Carryout Drug & Alcohol testing when required.
· Assist Department Managers with performance management when required, working within the Company boundaries and policies.
· Monitor HR processes and procedures to ensure they are compliant and identify any improvement opportunities.
· Review HR policies to ensure they are compliant and update as necessary in line with Employment Law.
· Supporting Employee relations cases including actively participating in grievance and disciplinary meetings.
· Support in redundancy situations and internal restructures.
Experience
· Bachelors degree in a business or HR discipline preferable
· CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
· Previous experience is essential in a similar role and be able to demonstrate situational scenario’s
Skills
· Good working knowledge of UK / International HR Best Practice
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to manage time and prioritise
· Enthusiasm, resilience and have a solutions driven nature.
