The Role:
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a primary school in Blackpool to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children across Key Stage 2. This is a full-time position starting immediately and is expected to continue throughout the academic year, with the potential to become a long-term or permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN (including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH)
Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans
Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment
Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary or KS2 setting
A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach to learning support
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) is desirable but not essential
Available to start ASAP and committed to ongoing support
