This role will require an Enhanced DBS, a Childs's Barred List check and an Adult's Barred List check.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Warwick Counselling and Psychotherapy Services (CAPS) team.
CAPS sits within the University Wellbeing & Student Support (W&SS) Teams at the University of Warwick who deliver a range of student support services through the Wellbeing, Disability and Counselling and Psychotherapy Services teams. We are committed to providing professional services that are tailored to students’ individual requirements, aimed at enabling students to successfully complete their studies and enhance their student experience.

About You
We are looking to employ an Associate Psychological Therapist, that is, a Counsellor/Psychotherapist who has completed their professional qualification and is working towards developing their practice to apply for accreditation (usually with BACP).
On a day-to-day basis, the Associate Psychological Therapist will offer individual therapy to students for short to medium term therapy contracts (around 5 sessions) working with moderate to complex distress. The presenting concerns are varied and typically include anxiety; depression; self identity and relationship issues but also will include eating distress; suicidality; self harm and complex trauma.
