Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Financial Controller, Europe to join our Finance team reporting to the Finance Director, Financial Control.
As a Regional Financial controller you will focus on building a lean, efficient European finance organisation grounded in strong controls, compliance, and streamlined processes. The successful candidate will proactively manage and develop the finance team, ensuring the recruitment and retention of key talent. They will hold ultimate accountability for all ledgers, controls, compliance, payroll, and financial processes within the Financial Control Environment, working closely with operational accounting in a manufacturing setting. Responsibilities also include standardising internal control processes, managing the region’s balance sheet and cash flow, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Additionally, the role involves overseeing internal and external audits, managing HQ accounting alongside smaller legacy entities, and serving as a key member of the global controlling finance group with statutory director duties as required. Other ad hoc duties will be assigned as needed.
This role is based from any of our sites within Europe working Monday to Friday normal office hours. (hybrid working) Slough & Aberdeen (UK) Fulda (Germany) Shannon, (Ireland), Livorno (Italy) Italy & Antwerp (Belgium)

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)
* Proactively manage the finance team. Recruit, develop and retain key talent.
* Ultimate responsibility for all ledgers, controls, compliance, payroll and financial processes in the Financial Control Environment
* Work with operational accounting in a manufacturing environment
* Ensuring processes are standardised in the Internal Control Environment
* Accountable for the balance sheet and cashflow of the region
* Timely and accurate financial reporting
* Internal and External Audit management
* Management of HQ accounting and small holding / legacy entities
* Key member of global controlling finance group, including Statutory Director responsibilities where required
Qualifications
* Educated to undergraduate level minimum, CIMA/ACCA/ACA
* Extent experience in a global and /or large corporate and manufacturing environment
* Demonstrable record of people management
* Large ERP experience required, implementation experience desired
* Change management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English – any additional European language a benefit
* Strong Excel, SAP and MS Office experience
