The firm delivers investment strategies and funds for institutional investors around the globe and across a range of private market asset classes, such as private equity, infrastructure, natural capital and intellectual property investments. The investment team have an average of 25 years of investment experience in more than 30 jurisdictions around the globe. The firm is a Signatory of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investing (PRI), a Signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), a supporter of both The Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and Taskforce on Natural-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). Role Summary The Head of Investor Relations – DACH, based in London, supports the firm’s current Marketing and Investor Relations Team in managing key relationships with limited partners (LPs), attracting new investors, and leading the firm's marketing and fundraising strategy across German-speaking Europe. The individual will be responsible for overseeing and executing a regional coverage and engagement strategy across the German, Austrian and Swiss markets. They will be responsible for ensuring institutional investor market awareness and interaction, by direct representation and through various market forum and industry conferences. The individual will maintain authority and accountability for all investor and market engagement within the region. They will participate in the success across a range of firm initiatives across its global office network and across its various strategic as well as fund or investment mandate initiatives. They will be an integral member of the firm’s European marketing leadership team. This role involves providing engaging with the institutional investor community in the region, developing and executing a market coverage and fundraising campaign, drafting marketing collateral, managing existing as well as new investor engagements as well as other market stakeholders such as investment consultants. As a Vice President/Principal, the role is primarily accountable for marketing and capital raising activities across the DACH region, while also acting as a driving force for ideas and strategic input at executive level and globally. Key Responsibilities Relationship Management Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors, investment consultants, family offices and other stakeholders. Serving as a primary point of contact for investor inquiries and feedback. Serve as the main point of contact for institutional investors, analysts, and the media, responding to inquiries and managing relationships. Ensure all external communications adhere to relevant securities laws and regulations. Fundraising Develop and execute comprehensive IR strategies to attract new investors, maintain existing investor confidence, and ensure consistent, compelling messaging aligned with corporate goals. Coordinate and prepare materials for quarterly earnings calls and annual reports, including press releases, presentations, Q&As, and briefings for senior management. Identifying potential capital sources and leading fundraising initiatives by preparing compelling investment materials like pitch decks and offering memorandums. Developing and executing investor communication strategies, coordinating meetings, conferences, roadshows, and other engagement events. This also includes creating client reports and marketing materials. Ensuring all investor communications and activities comply with internal reporting standards and regulatory protocols. Market Intelligence Analyzing financial results, industry trends, and peer benchmarking data to provide insights to senior management. Plan and execute investor events, such as conferences, roadshows, webcasts, and annual shareholder meetings. Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience MBA or an advanced degree from a world leading university. Professional certification (CFA, CAIA, other) preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience working in the financial industry with a large global investment firm, a placement agent, or in a large investment bank in a private markets function. Proven track record of capital raising with institutional investors, with strong preference for experience in private equity fundraising. Strong command of industry best practices and legal and regulatory compliance standards. Deep knowledge of relevant national laws and regulations. Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills. Have experience of engaging with senior executives and strong ability to project professionalism and credibility. Personal Attributes Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Impeccable ethics and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Ability to think strategically, anticipate investor needs, and align IR activities with the company's long-term objectives. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Language skills or international professional experience are strong attributes.
