Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Assistant Property Manager or Property Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting the day-to-day operations of our residential property portfolio, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, managing contractors, and delivering exceptional service to residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the management of residential properties, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard.
* Coordinate and oversee fire door inspections, fire risk assessments, and remedial works.
* Liaise with contractors and obtain competitive quotes for maintenance and safety-related jobs.
* Ensure all works are signed off by the Health and Safety Manager and properly invoiced.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, assessments, and completed works.
* Communicate effectively with residents, addressing concerns and issuing formal correspondence when required.
* Support the building safety team in daily reporting and compliance tracking.
* Ensure all properties meet current health and safety regulations and internal audit standards.
* Collaborate with accounts to ensure timely billing and payment processing.
* Contribute to the development of new safety-focused roles and initiatives within the office.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in property management or a related field (Assistant or full Property Manager level).
* Strong understanding of residential health and safety compliance, including fire safety.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple contractors and projects simultaneously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Relevant qualifications in property management, health and safety, or facilities management (desirable).
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in residential property safety.
Salary depending on experience
