Join Henry Boot and help shape the future of data-driven decision making as our Data & Analytics Manager, you’ll be a trusted partner, turning business data into strategic insight and embedding data-driven thinking across our organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
* Partner with the Head of Strategy & Investor Relations to develop our data approach, reporting frameworks, and foster a culture of data-driven decision making.
* Deeply understand business data systems and structures, proactively improving them and translating source data into valuable analytics and reporting.
* Collate, produce, and deliver dashboards, reports, and advanced analysis to provide clear insights for stakeholders.
* Align data with commercial KPIs and strategic goals, informing progress and supporting business objectives.
* Support governance and data ethics, ensuring robust risk management and compliance.
* Drive data literacy and usage across non-technical teams, improving analytics capability through a business partnering approach.
* Provide expertise to projects across the group, tracking deliverables and impact.
* Engage as a business partner in meetings and initiatives, contributing recommendations for collaborative decision making.
* Support the collation of reports and data for external stakeholders.
* Foster a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
Competencies & Qualifications:
Essential:
* Significant practical experience in a relevant discipline, gained through formal education or hands-on roles.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Highly numerate, able to analyse and interpret large volumes of data.
* Experience creating dashboards and data visualisations using dashboard software.
* Experience partnering and collaborating with senior teams.
* Ability to produce clear, accessible reports for stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills, independence, and initiative.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and perform well under pressure.
* Builds influence and engages diplomatically with colleagues and stakeholders.
* Proactive, adaptable, and resilient to change.
Desirable:
* Strong commercial and financial acumen.
* Experience supporting business initiatives and projects.
* Experience working with diverse datasets across multiple business domains.
* Ability to quickly understand commercial and business context when engaging with new data.
* Experience with business systems, such as D365.
