Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? We are looking for an inspiring and committed Chair of Trustees to lead our Board and help guide our specialist, trauma-informed counselling service into its next chapter.

Brief description of the role:
As Chair, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction, supporting our CEO and trustees, and ensuring Rothacs continues to provide high-quality, accessible support to survivors of abuse across Rotherham. You'll be an ambassador for the charity, championing our values, equality, diversity and inclusion, and helping us remain strong, ethical and effective.
This is a rewarding opportunity to use your leadership, governance or strategic experience to create lasting impact within a respected local charity. The role involves attending six board meetings a year, working closely with the CEO, and contributing around four days per month.

Responsibilities:
Ensure the board discusses and agrees the purpose and values of the organisation and remains focussed on them.
Lead the board in identifying key strategic decisions, including the financial strategy, to be made and delivered.
Ensure timely and well-founded decision-making that advances the values and purpose of our organisation.
Work with the board and staff to further our strong commitment to equity diversity and inclusion.
Ensure the organisation has in place appropriate policies, systems and procedures to operate legally and effectively.
Monitor the progress of the organisation in light of the strategic objectives
Hours: 4 days per month
Salary: This is a voluntary, unpaid position
