The successful apprentice will join a professional dental practice and gain hands-on experience assisting dentists, supporting patient care, and maintaining a safe clinical environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail, and is interested in healthcare. You will develop valuable clinical and administrative skills while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. The apprentice will work closely with experienced dental professionals and will gain practical experience in a modern dental setting while developing the skills required for a successful career in dental nursing. WHAT YOU WILL DO Your responsibilities may include: Greeting and welcoming patients, helping them feel comfortable during their visit. Assisting the dentist during a variety of dental procedures (chairside assisting). Preparing the surgery before treatments and ensuring it is ready for patients. Mixing dental materials and supporting clinical procedures. Maintaining infection prevention and control procedures. Sterilising and decontaminating dental instruments. Stocking surgeries and ensuring materials and equipment are available. Charting and managing patient records and dental data. Processing radiographs and supporting clinical documentation. Booking patient appointments and assisting with reception duties. Supporting day-to-day operations. Working alongside experienced staff. Participating in ongoing training and development. TRAINING During your apprenticeship, you will: Receive regular training from Excellence Solutions Limited. Complete at least 20% off-the-job training. Study the Dental Nurse (Integrated) Level 3 apprenticeship standard. Gain hands-on experience in a real working environment. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to register with the General Dental Council (GDC) as a qualified dental nurse.
