About the Position
Employment Period: 11-month position
Reports To: Director of Student Support Services
Salary includes a $1000 sign-on bonus for new hires!
This is a full-time, 11-month role providing Occupational Therapy services for students in self-contained non-categorical and general education classrooms, serving students from Pre-K to 5th grade with mild to significant needs.

Job Responsibilities
* Providing high-quality occupational therapy services according to IEPs/504 plans.
* Conducting assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports to identify student strengths and concerns.
* Developing strength-based, child and family-centered treatment plans to improve educational outcomes.
* Ensuring evaluations and services align with school, state, and federal guidelines.
* Collaborating with teachers to observe, describe, and refer motor concerns, and to develop curriculum modifications and classroom strategies.
* Supporting skill generalization across settings through team collaboration.
* Completing timely documentation including treatment notes and progress reports.
* Managing service logs and documenting all work in EasyIEP according to guidelines.
* Communicating with school leadership and participating in professional development and training sessions.
* Maintaining materials, assessments, and confidential records.
* Staying updated on best practices in occupational therapy.
* Adhering to health and safety policies, including bloodborne pathogen precautions.
* Engaging families and acting as a school ambassador in the community.
* Participating in school events and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* Current DC DOH license or eligibility for licensure.
* At least two years of relevant experience, preferably with preschool and elementary students.
* Knowledge of current occupational therapy practices.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to serving a diverse student population.
* Strong time management, flexibility, independence, and problem-solving skills.
* Professional and ethical standards adherence.
Salary & Benefits
Annual salary ranges from $80,000 to $107,000, based on education, certifications, and experience. Benefits include health (medical & dental), disability insurance, a 401(k) with 4% match, child care, health savings plans, pre-tax Metro deductions, staff wellness activities, and facilities like staff lounge and lactation room. All staff may undergo fingerprinting and background checks for safety compliance.
