Care & Support Worker – Metropolitan Thames Valley, Saffron Walden
Salary: £23,809.50
We provide residential rehabilitation for individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs at Station Street. As a Care & Support Worker, you will develop personal, flexible, recovery‑focused support plans to help residents regain control, improve their quality of life, and face the future with confidence.
Key responsibilities
* Work with residents aged 18 and over with severe mental illness and other co‑existing issues such as substance misuse or mild learning disabilities.
* Deliver flexible care and support across various shift patterns, including late shifts, nights and weekends.
* Participate in a rota system that covers weekends and bank holidays. Full‑time hours of 15 per week with available overtime.
* Assist in individual assessments, planning and review of care plans according to the Care Programme Approach.
* Support residents to achieve their personal goals and maintain recovery focus.
* Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, family members and external agencies.

* Experience working with people with long‑term mental health issues.
* Strong communication skills, flexible approach and positive attitude.
* Empathy, understanding and patience.
* Team player who can achieve targets in a changeable environment.
* Willingness to learn and develop with ongoing training.
