About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Associate to join PwC's Banking and Capital Markets Tax team, working across a range of areas but with a particular focus on Asset Finance & Leasing Tax ("AF&L") We are looking for high quality candidates, motivated by a desire to work within the sector and capable of dealing with both the flexible and technical demands that this brings.
PwC's Asset Finance & Leasing Tax group provides advice to a wide variety of institutions, including banks, manufacturers, financial institutions, private equity and rolling stock leasing companies as well as acting as subject matter experts for wider PwC.
The AF&L group supports our clients with a range of commercial and tax advisory services with a focus on transaction diligence and transaction structuring as well as on lease related tax advisory services
What your days will look like
1. You will have the chance to work across the full range of clients and services, with the opportunity to work directly with partners and directors
2. There is also the potential to work closely with other PwC lines of service - Audit, Consulting, Deals and Risk - as well as the international PwC network.
3. You will be encouraged to develop your own client relationships, lead your own teams, innovate ways of working and drive new uses of technology.
This role is for you if
4. Must possess a ACA or CTA Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
5. Ability to develop self and others
6. Strong interest in the Asset Finance & Leasing, Credit or Infrastructure sectors
7. Motivated individual with a desire for a permanent career in tax
8. Excellent interpersonal skills
9. Both numerate and literate
10. Confident with accounting concepts (ideally including tax accounting)
