Job Description
Bumi Armada UK Limited (BAUK) currently have a permanent staff opportunity for a LOLER Competent Person to join the team onboard the Armada Kraken FPSO on a 3:4:3:5 rotational pattern.
Responsible for managing and supervising all lifting operations on-site and ensuring they are carried out in accordance with LOLER and the Company’s lifting procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, review and approve all lifting operations, lifting plans and risk assessments except those that are classified as “complex”.
2. Determine suitable levels of supervision for complex lifts and assume role of Lifting Operations leader as required.
3. Liaise with appropriate departments to ensure effective planning and approvals for lifting operations.
4. Conduct and participate in toolbox talks and carrying out the role of Performing Authority as required.
5. Ensure all personnel involved in lifting operations meet the minimum competence standards through regular conversations and observing lifting operations and individuals’ performance.
6. Ensure all lifting equipment and on-site rigging lofts are fully certified in compliance with company lifting procedure and industry standards.
