Management Accountant
Location: Crawley
Salary: Up to £45,000 - £50,000 (pro rata)
Hours: Part time – 3 days per week (Monday to Wednesday)

We are a fast-growing logistics and supply chain organisation providing end-to-end delivery solutions for clients across the UK. As we continue to scale, we are seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our clients finance team on a part-time basis. This is a key role supporting financial planning, operational decision-making and the continued success of the business.
Role Overview
The Management Accountant will lead on management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. You will work closely with operational teams to provide insights that improve performance, enhance efficiency and support strong financial control.
This role is ideal for someone looking for a flexible, impactful position within a dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing robust financial insights
* Analyse operational data (e.g., cost per delivery, route profitability, fleet utilisation) to support commercial decision-making
* Prepare cashflow forecasts and monitor working capital
* Work with operational managers to understand cost drivers and recommend improvements
* Maintain and improve financial processes and controls
* Produce KPI dashboards and regular performance reports
* Assist with year-end processes and liaise with external auditors where required
* Ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic projects, tenders, and investment decisions
* Maintain accurate ledgers in Sage 50.
About You
Essential:
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience
* Strong management accounting and analytical skills
* Experience within logistics, supply chain, transport, manufacturing, or another operationally focused sector
* Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools
* Ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
* Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
* Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently, given the part-time structure
Desirable:
* Experience with ERP or transport management systems
* Knowledge of costing models or activity-based costing
* Previous experience in a fast-growth or multi-site environment
