Overview
Join TNS’s Customer Installation team. We are a team of highly skilled and committed Network Technicians tasked with delivering the highest quality solutions for our customers across our global network. Our mission is to deliver “Right First Time & On Time”. At TNS, we provide mission-critical, managed network solutions to clients in the Payments and Financial Service Markets, enabling secure, reliable, and high-speed transactions globally. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop and excel technically across various technology platforms involved in providing top-tier managed network solutions.
Responsibilities
* Support customers during router installation and related activities, including patch cabling and cross connects, collaborating with Field Technicians on installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
* Remain logged into the Installations phone queue during business hours to assist customer engineers during device installation.
* Manage the shared mailbox, ensuring timely responses and proper archival.
* Coordinate with telecommunication companies to activate circuits such as leased lines, Ethernet, VPN, MPLS, and others.
* Maintain the integrity of the Remedy database and update data as needed.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance quality and efficiency.
* Update technical documentation for the Customer Implementation Group to support operational needs.
* Build and maintain professional relationships with technical peers and teams globally.
* Stay informed about changes to TNS infrastructure and incorporate them into existing processes.
* Understand new TNS products and service offerings, including updates to software functionalities.
* Use project management tools for tracking and reporting tasks.
Qualifications
Required:
* Ability to work independently and exercise judgment effectively.
* Experience managing multiple complex assignments concurrently.
* Networking experience, especially in delivering mission-critical services using broadband or mobile connectivity.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages like Spanish, French, or Italian are a plus.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing various responsibilities.
* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Desirable:
* Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Digi, Fortinet routers, etc.
* Background in banking, finance, or POS industries.
* Relevant certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, Linux Admin, ITIL.
* Proficiency with MS Office, Remedy, Salesforce.
* Experience with mobile carrier data solutions and PSTN technologies.
