Trainee Dental nurse learning all appropriate aspects including:\n- Reception duties\n- Working chairside providing assistance to the dentist\n-Working in the LDU (local decontamination unit). this is where the instruments are cleaned\nThe exact hours required by the trainee can be discussed at interview, as well as rate of pay Assisting the dentist in all clinical procedures, providing chairside support.\nPreparation and sterilisation of instruments and disinfection of equipment.\nPrepare surgery for all procedures e.g. correct instruments and materials for each treatment.\nRecording of dental charting and maintenance of computer/written treatment records.\nProcessing of dental radiographs. Gaining qualifications at a Nat 5 Level shows that you are able to work towards an SCQF Level 7 within the Mentor training programme. All training will be given onsite with support.
