As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in maintaining continuity in the classroom, supporting student's learning when their regular Teachers are unavailable. Responsibilities Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the assigned Teacher. Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain focused and engaged. Maintain effective classroom discipline in accordance with School policies. Offer feedback to Teachers on student progress and any concerns encountered during the cover. Support students with queries and maintain a calm, supportive classroom environment. Adapt easily and be prepared to cover different subjects and year groups when required. Requirements Previous experience working with secondary students is essential. Confident classroom presence and the ability to lead learning activities. Excellent interpersonal and classroom management abilities. A genuine interest in supporting student's progress and wellbeing. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
