This role is a full‑time position based within the Amber Valley, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire Area Team, with office bases in Ilkeston or Chesterfield.
The successful candidate will work independently, engaging and motivating young people, supporting them through intervention programmes and managing a caseload to achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Provide a quality social work service that supports children to achieve their potential.
* Conduct full assessments of young people and their families and design intervention plans to prevent re‑offending.
* Effectively manage multiple young people, striving to achieve the best outcomes for each.
* Work in partnership with individuals and other agencies to build and sustain relationships, identify needs, and develop appropriate responses.
Qualifications
* BA (Honours) in Social Work and current Social Work England registration.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a person‑centred approach to building rapport and relationships with children and families.
* Ability to reflect on practice and demonstrate flexible and thoughtful social work practice that promotes positive change.
* Experience in relationship‑focused social work.
