You’ll be the vital link between our head office and the network of suppliers and subcontractors.
Estimator / Bid Manager Responsibilities
• Receive enquiries from the Sales team and take ownership of developing a detailed and accurate price submission.
• Prepare cost estimates for projects including plantroom equipment,, controls, maintenance packages, and energy centre solutions.
• Liaise with internal technical, engineering, and operations teams to validate assumptions and ensure buildability.
• Source supplier and subcontractor quotations, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with specification
Estimator Essential experience
• Proven experience as an Estimator within the M&E, HVAC, Building Services, or Energy Solutions sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to balance competitiveness and profitability.
• Excellent knowledge of heating systems
• Experience reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software/tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Confident communicator with the ability to challenge assumptions and present findings at senior level
