Job Description:
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Cheshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Cheshire.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We keep the team around the child, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is perfect for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to raise their engagement and drastically improve the outlook of their educational journey.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role:
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Supporting young people referred by local authorities and schools, addressing their educational and social-emotional needs
* Delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to support their development
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
* Planning each teaching/tutoring/mentoring session
* Providing holistic, engaging sessions tailored to needs and promoting progress
* Completing reports and providing feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available if needed)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with the right to work, even for remote assignments
Ability to promote health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people is essential, following safeguarding policies at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor employment status:
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term placements
* Contract for service paid via PAYE
* No set work amount or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers your work for us
* This is not a self-employed position
