As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for providing commercial support and risk management to Rock Power Connections three project workstreams:
* DNO – building primary substations on DNO frameworks
* ICP – new and upgraded power connections for industrial and commercial clients
* EV – design and build of high-powered charging hubs
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in supporting our Design, Project and Delivery management teams across all phases of the project lifecycle. You will ensure the commercial viability of project pricing, identify and address cost risk at every level during the tender stage, capture and evaluate any impacts to project budgets once fully designed, perform thorough cost value reconciliation, intervene in, and manage, variations and applications for payment during the construction stage, and conduct detailed reviews of project performance to drive continuous improvement in future works during the closure stage.
A fine balance between commerciality and stakeholder management is required, thus ensuring optimal performance vs budget whilst retaining Rock's industry-leading reputation for service with its clients. The Quantity Surveyor will ultimately monitor projected project costs/margin and support the mitigation of any associated risks both directly and indirectly.
We are looking for a qualified quantity surveyor who has experience in working in the energy sector whether this be DNO, ICP, EV etc. Soemone with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills. Preferably with AutoCAD or Revit experience but not necessary. Finally whilst based on one site we would prefer someone with Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to site locations as may be required on occasions.
